New small grants programme

INVITATION FOR BIDS AS A NEW SMALL GRANTS PROGRAMME IS LAUNCHED

The Charles Plater Trust (CPT) has today opened its 2021 grants programme.

It is calling on all small sized charities who have a proposal for a localised lay leadership or social action project with a specific community or group, to apply for a grant for up to £5,000. The project needs to be completed by end of 2022.

Philomena Cullen, the CPT manager said:

“We are so pleased to be able to get back to our core purpose of grant making today. We are starting by firstly inviting bids from any registered small charity who has an exciting plan to make a positive difference in their own community. This is the first time we have offered small grants of this kind, so we are interested to learn what the need out there is, and what can be delivered with modest amounts of funding like this. Any parish or community group can approach us with their ideas for change.”

Any small charity with an annual income of below £100,000 is eligible to apply directly on the new Charles Plater Trust website, also launched today. There is an online application form for submission and the closing date is Friday 15th October 2021. All details can be found at: www.charlesplater.org/grant-application/information.
