Yellow Submarine - Life-Changing Bakes and Transformative Breaks

Yellow Submarine works with young people and adults who have learning disabilities and/or autism who live in Oxfordshire. The charity delivers a range of projects to reduce loneliness and social isolation, promote individuals’ confidence and mental health, build life-skills and develop independence. Its Traineeship is its life-changing sheltered workplace training programme. This case study illustrates how a very isolated and shy individual grew and blossomed in it.

From the Frontline: A Powerful Story of Hope from Ella's

The Charles Plater Trust is proud to support the vital work of Ella’s, a London-based charity that provides urgent and long-term support for women surviving trafficking and sexual exploitation. Their mission is to ensure that survivors have everything they need to recover and build lives that are safe and free. We recently received a moving update from the team at Ella’s, which includes the story of Laura, a survivor who is reclaiming her future. We wanted to share their message and video with our community.

Working Upstream: How Housing Matters Is Preventing Homelessness in Bristol’s Most Vulnerable Communities

With support from the Charles Plater Charitable Trust, Housing Matters expanded its outreach to five Bristol communities facing high deprivation. By offering in-person advice at local hubs, they’ve helped over 300 people—94% of whom wouldn’t have accessed support otherwise. Through early intervention, like Faith’s story, they’re stopping housing crises before they escalate, proving that meeting people where they are can change lives.
